Plain-language summary: This website is a simple, informational site. We don't host forms or accounts, we don't show advertising, and we don't sell your data. We do use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, non-identifying traffic patterns, which sets cookies as described below. 1. Overview

National Leadership Development Day ("NLDD," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website to share information about our one-day virtual leadership event. We respect your privacy and have intentionally kept this website's data footprint minimal. This policy explains what information is and isn't handled when you visit this site or interact with the services we link to.

2. What We Do Not Collect on This Site

This website is largely static and informational. Aside from the aggregate analytics described in Section 4, we do not:

  • Host registration forms, contact forms, or accounts;
  • Show third-party advertising or use advertising cookies;
  • Build individual profiles or engage in cross-site tracking;
  • Sell, rent, or trade any personal information.

Actions like registering for the event, applying to speak, or emailing us take place through the third-party services described below or through your own email client.

3. Information You Provide Through Third-Party Services

When you choose to take an action, you interact directly with a third party that collects and processes your information under its own privacy policy:

Event registration — Eventbrite

Registration and ticketing are handled by Eventbrite. Any name, email, payment, or attendee details you enter are collected and processed by Eventbrite. Please review the Eventbrite Privacy Policy.

Speaker applications — Google Forms

Our "Apply to Speak" link opens a Google Form. Information you submit is collected through Google and shared with our organizing team to evaluate submissions. Please review the Google Privacy Policy.

Email correspondence

If you email us (for example, at hello@nldd.org), we receive the contents of your message and your email address, and we use them solely to respond and to organize the event.

4. Information Collected Automatically (Analytics, Hosting & Fonts)

Like virtually all websites, some technical data is processed to deliver and measure the site:

  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-XREXHBCYQ1) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — for example, which pages are viewed and general device and location categories. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data and IP addresses on our behalf. We use this information only in aggregate and do not use it to identify you personally. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability. See the Netlify Privacy Policy.
  • Web fonts. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address when the fonts are requested. See the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not use this technical data to identify individual visitors.

5. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure aggregate usage, as described in Section 4. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Third-party services you navigate to (such as Eventbrite or Google) may set their own cookies once you are on their platforms, governed by their respective policies.

6. How Information Is Used

Where we do receive information (for example, an email you send us, or registration details relayed by Eventbrite), we use it only to:

  • Respond to your inquiries;
  • Administer registration, attendance, and speaker selection;
  • Send event-related communications you would reasonably expect;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the event and this website.

7. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed by the third-party providers named above (Eventbrite, Google, Netlify) strictly to deliver their respective functions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of the event.

8. Data Retention

We retain emails and event-related information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Registration and application data are retained by Eventbrite and Google according to their policies.

9. Children's Privacy

This website and event are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Because most personal data is held by our third-party providers, requests are often best directed to them. You may also contact us at hello@nldd.org and we will assist where we reasonably can.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
